The animated Amazon van sits one stop away, for long minutes
Not uncommon for them to stop near eateries, it must be lunch
Rootbeer float, lox on a bagel with cream cheese?
Liver and onions!
Or maybe they know it drives customers up a wall, to see their package so close, forever
A watched driver never shows, or misdelivers.
I'll be back.
"Speed and compatibility" hotspot option on my android has locked out 6ghz.
There is open wifi here, but my units warn me against using it.
My Ethernet cables and expensive USB to Ethernet adapter, are either in a dumpster or are on their way from Amazon.
The dumpster part and the Ethernet part are impossible to explain with one finger on my phone.
Basically I'm chancing that T-mobile won't mind the hotspot, until the cables arrive.
I hate having to wait for expensive updates (free ones) also tough to explain.
Crap...."restarting" gotta go get interrogated by Microsoft.
Will I ever blog from my new PC?
I just noticed, I have an sd-card slot.
I thought they were older and someone online complained that they did not have one.
I might erase this and start again, because, so many important questions.
A few hours ago, I could see but not copy over some songs from the phone.
I could not seem to play them either.
A nap later, (Failure makes me sleepy,)
after uninstalling McAfee and office 365, everything copied fine, played great.
I may never know why but I suspect an intrusive software package.
For my next trick, I shall perform a speed test!
I don't know why, call it morbid curiosity.
But first, an update.
Sure, OK, whatever,
"restart"
BIOS UPDATE!!
(o shit)
and not just one, oh, no...4 or so updates, one of them for USB (I think)?)
Intel ME (I'll have to look that one up)
Did it make clear this was brain surgery, and I should not breathe?
"Don't turn off your PC" o yeah, thanks.
I don't understand the trackpad yet. I press up and the text should go up (Towards the beginning) but it goes towards the end, and a selection in control-panel (down is up, up is down) does not seem to apply.
I used a trackpad for many months before I got sick of it, and my fingers seem to be trained backwards?
IDK, I'll get back to this.
The USB is old fashioned but ethernet is deprecated. And where are the vaunted display ports?
and the power adapter sits straight out of its little hole, just waiting to be bent or broken.
It's as if they designed it that way.
I unplugged the thing to write this...I've heard batteries don't like being plugged in for lengthy amounts of time, but does plugging-unplugging mess it up as well?
I can't be sure yet but I think that my phone could supply power to the laptop?
"Two way power" says the manual, and also the c-type connector could be used as a DisplayPort, with an adapter. Again, gizmos and doodads.
Fortunately, the ethernet adapter has a little hole for a charger, and this PC mumbles that the charger is slow (because the adapter drains some power), and it's only getting 60 instead of 65 watts.
An edit: the charger (poor 65-Watt thing) got very pissed off and either fried my ethernet adapter permanently, or the charger and the adapter just glare at each other menacingly now.
In other words, the adapter turns its back and says, "I HAVE NO CHARGER!!" although the charger still seems to work fine.
I suspect the adapter broke, but it still works for internet.
I'll know tomorrow. Yes, I bought a behemoth charger that promises to charge anything anywhere
(Stop shaking your heads sadly!!)
What is the typical power drain on this thing's battery, browsing the web?
Three hours, more?
Anyway the ethernet adapter, powered, looks like some insect with all the heavy cables attached. It drags down the poor usb-c connector, so I've given it tablespace so it won't droop-drag. This would have been so much simpler with an ethernet port, but the designer prolly thought it looked too bulky. I got yer bulk right here, grrrr. Plus now it's busted (the power-part, anyway)
Not really for me.
What is also not really for me is an expensive PC.
This one looked real inexpensive so I got it, not wanting to feel dumb buying something more expensive. "150U" the device manager says, is the CPU+graphics.
Of course there are higher priced models, and anyone window-shopping with discriminating taste should hit $1800 easily. But it seems wasteful.

The know-it-all writing that must've known that unless you have access to the memory timings in the BIOS, it's all bullshit.
You need the same slow-busted hotness the computer already has, or risk staring at a black screen.
Also....
One reviewer states my memory is soldered on, not upgradeable.
Another pulls his memory out and shows the exact part number.
So (anyway) if I want 32gb and not 16, I have to rip this thing apart and gut it.
No nice little doors, the whole damn back and nine screws (I was told) have to be removed.
The NVME drive and the WiFi module can also be upgraded, same nine screws.
6e is fine (160 vs 300mhz) and my drive being 1TB is good, and 16Gb is all right.
I (insert snarky here) am not ready to tear anything apart yet.
