Erasing entries which look especially reminiscent or rantful (ranty, full of rant, gd)
It's as if a painter continually crossed out something, and attached little notes.
No one would care, they only want the final painting!!
Yeah, I gotta remember that.
I Use "Daisy Chain", I plan to buy two Huge DIMMS as opposed to four someday,
put them into the lesser-slots he talks about, and never speak of this again.
But it's a style, the insecure self-correction, or otherwise it looks too much like Wikipedia.
No one gives a shit about the history, except maybe ONE guy who keeps correcting you.
Everyone Else is normal (attentive, trying to understand, forgiving of small inaccuracies)

My ranty-ranty appended remarks:
I have been mostly ignoring 3200-C-Anything because the manufacturer sticks a fire up the poor dimm's ass anyway to achieve greatness (or mundane mediocrity.)
And it seems as though anything above 2666 is overclocked.
So wouldn't it be more practical to buy at way too high of a speed, and *under*clock it?
Less fire up the butt, someone telling you (using fancy machines) that the DIMM can be clocked to a certain theoretical speed.
But people hate minutiae (except in the bible and in Sci-Fi) and have concluded that only Samsung with their "B" dies can achieve anything great.
It boggles my mind what tricks those chips are forced to perform.
What is their actual speed?
Or is it cattle-prod training?
Let's hope that once people get back to work in the chip-foundries, a better base-speed will be found (2933?? 3333???) that can then be manufacturer-overclocked to some circus-performing speed.
Better worded but still hopeless |
Best RAM 2021: The Fastest Memory to Speed Up Your PC - IGN
You can arbitrarily raise speed but if they're honestly saying that a RAM-kit's base speed is 2933, that's a biggie step in the right direction. I'll edit this if they qualify it later with torturous voltages or weird sizes or restrictions. (I'm not very encouraged so far: They seem to be shills earning the freebies they were sent by the manufacturers:)
This incredibly mediocre kit is the best? O geez. Shills and puppets, or "Circus-trainers," I don't know (still reading) |
Because despite the enormity of bombastic articles, I'm only interested in the fastest quiescent-DDR4 of a 2*16GB size.
"Quiescent": relaxed.
But Fucket for now, Marketing has decided that you like lights and Megahertz, annnnd, uhm,,
all that TLDR stuff like Latency will be best left to late night chats in forums.
Because, fucket |
The "Fucket" part I am not qualified to expound upon, BUT (I will anyway)
The cas18 of 4000 MIGHT translate to Cas16 at 3466 or lower, MIGHT require less voltage, less "Precharge", PLUS it's 64GB from the get-go, fuck off, forum-braggarts (Lol)
Fucket Memory!!
Well until you actually *get* it and starve for a month wondering why it won't actually work at anything over 2600 for you, calculators be-damned.
Half the memory, more money, "High Latency" But it's Corsair which rhymes with Corvair, a collector's item |
A peel-grapes version of G.Skill is 3600c14, 64gb.
