odd headlines (very draft-y)

 Notes, just notes.

Hey how come states always in the red have enormous surpluses today?

And why are state surpluses headline news?

Billlllions in surplus, they say.

Hmm

Was there a meeting (actually there was) and is this one of those talking points??

Justice proposes pouring federal relief in 'bucket' while touting income tax cut. Can he do that? - WV MetroNews

As recall effort looms, Gavin Newsom fights to reopen schools | The Sacramento Bee (sacbee.com)

They're pasting the wrong headline (this isn't about schools)

This next article might be a summary, I don't know. It confuses me.

Weekly Radio Addresses discuss state budget, prescription drug prices | Wisconsin Broadcasters Association (wi-broadcasters.org)

Plus the headline's wrong (again)

O, they're quoting a press release, "Yes there's a  surplus, people suffering"??

No lunches to go to, no boondoggles to build, has left most budgets in stasis (I'm also guessing) and yada whatever (This is why I'm saying it's "draft-y")

Sitting on my butt for several hours hatched the notion that funds for a new manhole-cover cannot pay for a new desk, without legislative permission. You can't take the entirety of funds in your checking account without accounting for rent/bills. Life is a box of Chocolates...etc.

Being "Topical"

Is this one of those red-blue subjects, along party lines???

Neosporin Sucks, Betadine does nothing (isolates? Organic whut?)
WHO do you believe?
"Honey," Bless your little heart.

I found a whatchacal, a curious volume of long forgotten lore, on a hard drive unused since 2015.

Inter oves locum praesta,
 Et ab haedis me sequestra,
 Statuens in parte dextra.

and I dashed here to insert some snarky political-remark, but changed my mind (because you really believe this stuff)
