Fancy title in italian ("la comedia famiglia", something yada)

This is too vast a subject to blog about...
Some millionaire has my mom's book about Dante, a teeny tiny book that was part of a set (I am learning)
That was unreadable even for me (maybe it was in latin or italian?)
That had terrifying illustrations.
Line-drawings evoking terror.
My Brother thought it too racy/apocryphal/outré and confiscated it, and it was never seen again, more's the pity.
NOW you can find trivialized Dante-illustrations everywhere, by bored teens.
Political pundits.

"Dante gets his covid vaccine"
https://research.bowdoin.edu/dante-today/tag/illustrations/

It's political. Apparently vaccines are this vast plot. It's like underhanded advertising.
I'm all  agog  aghast at the way you can twist shit.

I don't think people quote the Inferno, beyond the title, they'd rather quote Milton.

I kind of wish I'd found the illustration in my head, which is a very frightened person missing their mouth.

I was told many years later that it WAS a Dante-book, although I cannot prove it by any other means.
Missing-mouth people are terrifying...I'll spend the next 30 seconds googling them.

How come you censor and trivialize and people are meaner now than ever?
Witch burnings, book burnings, banning dancing, burning LP-records (it was a thing...nevermind)
Anyway intolerance gets looked back on as the dark days, then it all gets repeated.
Marjorie whatshername gets called out on mask-wearing because
(she says) it was like those holocaust-days when Jews had to wear yellow stars.
She isn't alone, that's a little scary.
This isn't even close but it's what google comes up with

O, shit, now I have a bug up my ass to find the title of the damned movie, which made no sense and had no ending (I think there was a sequel?)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ninth_Gate

This next pic is mostly unreadable to me, it's an interpretation of what was in some lady's head about hell. It looks a lot like a diagram.
People drawing this stuff must have read Dante,
And since I did not, I only wonder lamely if Hell (seeing it) is a mostly mental-thing.
"Hell is mostly mental" (or, "Hell is mostly Dante")
is not fit to enter into a blog, but it's what I am thinking.

This is tons better than anything Harry Potter or Bilbo-Frodo ever did,
It's a fantastic story (The "eighth circle of Hell" is anyway).
They've even got a detailed narrative but the diagram is maddeningly vague and cut off at the bottom by the scanner (xerox machine?)

Fiction is delved into so completely, an alien from another planet could waste years deciphering what we "know".

But it's way more interesting than politics or the dogma passing for religion these days.

ROTD word of the day, "ardat lili," a type of a succubus.

Odd (as in, "creepy") group of virus-laden sites with the same theme,
"ninth circle" and "illuminati".
I can't click on the links (I could, but it would be stewpid)

I'm getting off-topic...the whole ninth-circle hell thing looks like yet another propaganda campaign to distrust everyone everywhere except maybe the people telling you that.

I really hate "Pinterest", They tease you into joining up, and I never feel it's worth it, no matter the subject.
But the page (Telling you to join) seems relevant in this case, although the page consistently points to one single author.
But like I said, it's off topic for this entry.
There are two hells: Dante's and the political one. (Three hells..(Hell, Dante's fictionalized hell and the conspiratorial hell in their (adjective missing) world)
If I could only stop glossing  and actually read the thing, this next link might make sense (I'll jump out if they mention NWO, Illuminati or Epstein (or the pope)

Jeezus (Fa cryin outloud..I'm glad this isn't in a class and I'm not making a thesis)

Pseudo Dante

Synopsis: Hell gets progressively colder, not hotter.
(Warm in heaven, cold in hell)
I don't know if I restated it enough but we're talking about *fiction* and the corruption of fiction for political purposes.
This was all a 4AM train-of-thought anyway, I gotta avoid Solitaire at 4AM.

LIMBO
Virtuous, unbaptized grieving for their hopeless existence

(what an a-hole, geez)
This next link would make Wikipedia cry, it's so dense and (mostly) unreadable.
There's this book on Amazon that you can buy, Read, and look at Pictures!!
It's affordable!!
I might buy it!
No mouthless Banana, sadly (Maybe that was from another italian book?)

No, but it's in the same realm. A drawing, yet infinite in Detail.
