My intro should read as one very long, simple sentence:
I recently discovered that AMD Adrenalin kept rebooting itself *and resetting* itself, with the latest update of a couple weeks ago, so I downgraded my beta version of windows, *and* switched to the "Release preview" channel.

(OK, two sentences) Now I can't get any more updates, I'd have to reinstall windows completely after doing a complete wipe.
Solution: Find the lastest ISO from microsoft, which is proving difficult.
Hungry drooling wolves would LOVE to have me download their version, which Microsoft is too upper-crust to give.
Solution? (maybe?)
Re-enable the "Dev" or the "Beta" channel instead of the "Release Preview,"

wait for the Windows-update download,
hope AMD doesn't have their predictable cow.
OR...I could just let everything sit pretty, since windows is running fairly fast,
OR...I could just let everything sit pretty, since windows is running fairly fast,
no complaints nor busted apps.
I vote, "stay the course"
Mission accomplished.
Not that it's relevant, but...after all the brouhaha about TPM's, who actually uses them, who trusts them?
Microsoft has some unreadable sales-pitch about them.
You know you're you (unless you have a brain-worm) so it's pointless attesting to yourself.
uh.......??
A bank or some google service, but they'd rather use phones.
So wtf is a TPM good for?
So wtf is a TPM good for?
I'm gonna go play video games now, once you start with "enclaves" I fall to sleep like I was hypnotized.
This guy explains TPM tech, but does not explain (yet) who the hell cares, or if the people he is addressing haven't already broken down TPMs into a vast army of bot slaves.*"Yet" means I can't stand the video, couldn't watch more than 3/8ths (37.5 percent)
The cult that is Linux prolly consists of good guys and one hell of a lot of eveil ones...and I doubt his audience cares about the intro, or the tech-specs, they know it already.
Who uses TPM (not the technology in general but actual TPM-actions).
As in "who are yew?!!" (You flash your TPM/absolute/True-soul badge)
https://gabrielsieben.tech/2022/07/29/remote-assertion-is-coming-back-how-much-freedom-will-it-take/ I really like this site and you would too (if you ate asparagus soup, you'd appreciate Vanilla ice-cream more.)
It was a privacy-violation thing, then it was dropped, now they gather cobwebs in PC's worldwide.
To be approved (unto God or whoever), there has to be someone there to approve you.
You cannot approve yourself (windows sorta tries)
---------------
Uh, *after* a camp once you enter the road to baldur's gate,
*after* another camp wherein you fight some astral-plane bad guys,
Before you meet the kid and her cat,
You camp quickly and be sure you're a human (I don't know if this matters, but it couldn't hurt)
THEN Orin leaves her painting,
and Shadowheart has a flag indicating she has something to say (she ALWAYS has something to say but *this* time she uses the keyword, "Unclean".
I'm half asleep through all of this and forgot a detail or two, doubtlessly.
Camp, camp, battle, more camp, (she's gonna wash that witch right out of her hair) wake up and camp some more.
Now everything from here on in is anticlimactic.
You either follow the carefully googled script or die or wander aimlessly looking for a point to all this misery.
The romance scene must be to energize you, after the lecture from the octopus and before lotsa killing ahead.
Lotsa killing.
forever.
I'm pooped, bye.
