masochism (microsoft windows update)

My intro should read as one very long, simple sentence:
I recently discovered that AMD Adrenalin kept rebooting itself *and resetting* itself, with the latest update of a couple weeks ago, so I downgraded my beta version of windows, *and* switched to the "Release preview" channel.

(OK, two sentences) Now I can't get any more updates, I'd have to reinstall windows completely after doing a complete wipe.
Solution: Find the lastest ISO from microsoft, which is proving difficult.
Hungry drooling wolves would LOVE to have me download their version, which Microsoft is too upper-crust to give.
Solution? (maybe?)
Re-enable the "Dev" or the "Beta" channel instead of the "Release Preview," 

wait for the Windows-update download, 

hope AMD doesn't have their predictable cow.
OR...I could just let everything sit pretty, since windows is running fairly fast, 

no complaints nor busted apps.

I vote, "stay the course"

Not that it's relevant, but...after all the brouhaha about TPM's, who actually uses them, who trusts them?
Microsoft has some unreadable sales-pitch about them.

You know you're you (unless you have a brain-worm) so it's pointless attesting to yourself.

This guy explains TPM tech, but does not explain (yet) who the hell cares, or if the people he is addressing haven't already broken down TPMs into a vast army of bot slaves.

The cult that is Linux prolly consists of good guys and one hell of a lot of eveil ones...and I doubt his audience cares about the intro, or the tech-specs, they know it already.

Who uses TPM (not the technology in general but actual TPM-actions).
