Lemme see.... Passing through Baldur's gate from the shadow-place (lands, dark, creepy place) you're automatically thrown into a camp.
If (using common sense) you tell shadowheart to talk to that angel, you get a lot of nothing.

(uh) I don't know, stuff gets mashed together in my head, but after the battle in the astral plane, Player talks to the angel and shadowheart magically appears and gets her revelation.
Leave the (fake) camp, walk five steps and camp for real.
When you do, Orin leaves a message.

Then the little movie starts. Unless you're the wrong character or if it's tuesday (the exact sequence of events eludes me)
I thought I knew what to do but that was two playthroughs ago.

To help the grove you kill the trolls, which puts you on some wanted list at the border, and some pissant border-guard tries to kill you.

The one about shadowheart's heart (the movie) I honestly have no clue.

We know Shadowheart hates Githyanki, and me, I personally don't like Pointed ears as a cosmetic feature, but there are no hints anywhere (that I know of) pointing to a happy marriage.

Well all that theorizing and testing seems to pan out, the drive is working as expected.

I don't think I want that continuous-image thing going, I'd rather have a backup I can lock away for three months.

The drive comes with several files.
I may never need them but, I'm glad I checked.
Also the original partition is "exFat", in case it matters.

I googled "why" biggie cluster sizes and got the answer that most people reformat with smaller clusters.

Cluster size affects performance but the difference is so small no one bothers.

I only wanted to know if changing NTFS's clusters to match Exfat was worth it.

If a machine formats zillllions of drives a day, maybe they shave an hour off of a week using larger clusters??

 The AMD utility called "adrenalin" kept resetting itself after every reboot.
Looking online for solutions, the gurus from the 7-11 in the himalayas all said the same platitudes. Reinstall, etc.

So I reinstalled. (to an older beta, 22621 from 22631)

reset Error gone but the installation won't let me use file explorer.

File explorer is tons more important than any utility AMD has...

So anyway "explorer.exe" from a run-thing works fine (the font looks slightly off, a little creepy)

AND so far AMD (the adrenalin thing) doesn't reset itself.

But wait, am I using an older version of adrenalin? If I reinstall the driver will it start to bug out again?

Or will windows-update ruin this temporary slightly cracked nirvana.

I really have no reason to upgrade to a later version or to restrict some of my services, the card costs $400 and the services are free.

The next thing, ignoring the updates knocking on my door at 3AM telling friends they know me (crazy f'n updates) is to run 3dmark to see how low it's fallen.

Or...maybe update and see if the update was causing the reset, after carefully installing a restore point (updates tend to turn off restore points, so this might be futile)

I have several updates, and I'll install them one-by-one if possible to catch the culprit.

Is it the ".net (dot-net)" update? No, it's definitely 22631 which was Last-week's update or whatever came before it, after 22621.

Now I gotta see if I can restore back to goodness or am I doomed to repeat the whole reinstall-thing.

Is this worth a bug report? See, cuz, we're talking about a minor product Microsoft does not support, and AMD will disparage because I'm using a beta version of windows.

They unfortunately have many versions of my drive, and some are on sale, if you really look; it won't matter much speedwise because to get their extra fast speed you'd need

So a 1TB drive that runs like it was yesterday, hmm.
Let's say my current drive can run at 5gb/s, the new one might run at 10gb/s, with a capability of even faster. (but....I thought faster was less reliable?)

The first update I downloaded manually was the malicious-software-removal-tool, to present myself as righteous to microsoft. In other words, I have no virus

 The single strand of plot I've chosen to follow in Baldur's Gate 3 is devoid mostly of subquests, and mostly deals with the killing of the three rulers, and I got to thinking about "Orpheus," who is a character in the game who mostly sleeps.

Morpheus is the god of Dreams.

If you followed the orpheus-link, you'd see that I probably play the most g-rated quest, Mindlflayer-free except for the emperor.
In my last winning playthrough, there was no beach-scene, they just completely eliminated it.

Without this scene it's a little pointless playing beyond a certain point; it all becomes very mechanical.

I also don't think it's nice to play as some sort of gnoll (troll/elf/goblin) with spells, my arrows kill anything but I can't play the game in pieces so it's impossible to know how I'll do against the steel robots.
I only know to pump up my "Dexterity" and let the rest take care of itself.

I need to study up on where to find the bestest scrolls.

It's 3 days (or so) till "starfield" and I can wait for it and a review (and a walkthrough and cheats)

*I* point to the fact that it never reset itself before, and the drivers are the same, and the card (through testing) works fine.

Now I am sure (ok I'm assuming) you have seen 1500-piece puzzles in stores, but who cares? Unless (no nevermind) Homebound, etc.

Well they have a puzzle so arcane no one would care, unless someone does care (prolly getting paid) and writes a webpage. 

1500 piece puzzles are easy, this (for first time players) is impossible, 

too many variables involved, 

like which elevators to pick, 

and do they go up or down.
No, the writer is relying on some googled site for users to solve.

But I'm nearly positive there was an easier way, like maybe hoarding power sources from earlier??

So the theme for current games seems to be, endless misery in a post-apocalyptic place, with no directions, unless you google everything.

I don't remember writing this and my biggest critique is that I neglected to put the name of the game or the main character (which you can google, Lol).
But the sweet sadness of this is, your doting Grandma or your spinster uncle might buy this boring heap of a game, because it was on sale at Walmart, and walmart didn't have any ugly sweaters in your size.
So the next time you see Grandma or your uncle, they eagerly want to know how you liked the game, and do you still play it?
